Jody Owens
MS., LCPC
In therapy my role is to seek to understand concerns,  assist in identifying problematic thinking, and aid clients in implementing  positive changes in their life. Therapy services implement cognitive-behavioral interventions predominately. I believe that, regardless of what caused the problem, all people involved may need to make changes as part of a solution.  It is my belief that our biology, our experiences and our choices are all important in understanding who we are.  As a therapist I especially look to a person s experiences in their relationships (past and present) to understand how problems develop and how change comes about. Together we will focus on client strengths and working through their weaknesses to improve their situation.

While I work with an array of problems, my primary areas of specialization include helping clients resolve and cope with  anxiety, depression, and other symptoms of PTSD. I have experience in educating individuals about addiction and helping them learn and apply recovery concepts in their daily life in order to manage their addictive tendencies. I work with a variety of ages and provide services to individuals, couples, (and families, as needed). I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho and have a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.
