Carole J. Carter
LCPC, LMFT, NCC
I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 30 years' experience working with very diverse populations. Chaplaincy and lay ministry training and experience as a hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator have enabled me to incorporate grief/bereavement counseling for those who are grieving losses through death, divorce, loss of independence, finances, health, and stability. I love working with adolescents and adults of all ages, stages, races, cultural backgrounds, spiritual and religious persuasions, sexual orientations, etc. My practice focuses on individuals, couples, and groups.
I utilize a combination of person-centered, family systems, Gestalt, behavioral, Imago, EMDR, and other therapies. However, the most important gift I offer you is being totally with you through this journey we call counseling. I will listen to you with my eyes, ears, and entire being as you share your story and concerns. Then we will partner to work through your issues. I will ask you to give yourself between-session assignments and sometimes to risk sharing in honest, new, and sometimes frightening ways. Your willingness to commit your mind, body, and spirit in the process can result in much growth, strength, and healing. I would love to have the privilege of offering you an open door to renewed hope and healing!
