Jeremy J. Clark
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
I feel strongly that everyone could benefit from counseling. We all feel that our daily life experiences can be overwhelming at times. I firmly believe in respecting my clients, understanding them, and in the power of the client-clinician relationship. I feel it's important for the client to come to an understanding of the issues they may have, and to work on the areas in their life that they want to. I firmly believe in the cognitive-behvaioral model where I help my clients to process their thoughts and feelings, and then determine how this is affecting their behaviors. I firmly believe in the need to be genuine with my clients, and to validate their concerns/issues. Most of my career as a therapist has been working with clients who have had traumatic and abusive(physical, emotional, & sexual)pasts. I find that my clients are very resilent, and are able to overcome many of the issues they have been dealing with for many years. It's important to address these issues honestly and openly. I feel I can provide an environment where that person can feel safe enough to address those difficult issues. The most important thing I can give to my clients is the abilities and confidence they can use to better their lives.
